We are a month away from the greatest spectacle of the year. Forget the Super Bowl, Grammy's, NBA Finals, and the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show - nothing holds a candle to the glam and stupendous world of WWE and nothing is bigger in WWE than Wrestlemania.

Wrestling is a bit of a strange sport in that by just calling it a sport in this blog has already caused several former below-average high school athletes to perk up in their chairs ready to debate the merits of some of the most gifted athletes in the world. It's a touchy subject, especially in Texas where everyone's great uncle grew up worshipping the Von Erich's and believed what they were doing in the ring was 100% real and unscripted. How they believed that Fritz's boys were really squaring off against a strange part lizard man in "The Missing Link" Dewey Robertson or Jerry Lawler was really fighting a savage beast-man from Africa in the "Ugandan Giant Kamala" instead of an actor named James Harris from Mississippi is another conversation that should probably be had. Instead for now, we will focus on something I imagine you did not know. Like any other sport, you can plop down your money and place your bet on the outcome of what we all know are scripted fights.
It may seem strange to some, but the world of betting on WWE is vast and carefully curated. Because of the scripted nature of the product, instead of being able to make straight bets on some of the more predictable outcomes you instead are working with odds, but don't get too comfortable because anything can happen even if you think it never would. After all, who could have seen John Cena turning into a heel (bad guy) for the first time in his lengthy career right before the very last Wrestlemania he will ever wrestle in? With that in mind, here are the odds for the matches that have been announced so far. Along with some fun predictions.

CODY RHODES (c) VS JOHN CENA for the Undisputed WWE Championship
This is the big one. John Cena has broken the hearts of children around the world when he kicked Cody square in the nuts and aligned with "The Final Boss" Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson at Elimination Chamber. Vegas has Cena as the clear favorite with -200 odds on him prevailing at Mania (meaning you will need to bet $200 to win $100) whereas a bet placed on the American Nightmare and son of a son of a plumber Cody Rhodes will give you +150 odds.
(Prediction) Surely Cena is favorited here for a reason. It is his last Mania ever and it doesn't make sense for him to turn heel for the first time ever just to put over the baby face Rhodes here. Expect him to take the belt and use it to further disparage the fans and ride that heel heat he is generating currently. Perhaps he will turn face again and have a proper sendoff or perhaps he will leave his career as a wrestler in a truly unforgettable way, by giving us the finger as he rides back to Hollywood. Maybe he'll even have another clash with CM Punk only it will be him hopping the gate and blowing a kiss as he leaves the arena. Either way, it just makes sense for them have Cena break Flair's record for world titles considering no one else is a better show pony for the company and Flair's reputation has tarnished in recent years, WWE is likely excited to no longer have his name associated with that particular record.

Tiffany Stratton (c) vs Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women's Championship
Ric isn't the only Flair associated with the WWE, his daughter recently returned to action after extensive injury time to become the first-ever two-time women's Royal Rumble winner and secure her ticket to Wrestlemania against the young champion Stratton who will appear in her first ever Mania match. Charlotte has won 16 world championships herself, just like her father, and is regarded by many as the greatest WWE women's wrestler of all time. Still the odds for this match are pretty close with Flair as the -150 favorite and Stratton clocking in at +110 odds.
(Prediction) While many fans think winning is a given for the returning Flair, she could actually prove more for her career as a wrestler with a loss. Hardcore fans criticize Flair for being over-pushed and not putting over younger talent. On paper, this match just makes sense. Flair and Stratton both lean into being a heel more than fan-favorites although they often do it too well and generate cheers instead of jeers anyway. Stratton looks up to Flair and previously stated being able to face Flair is her dream match, we think that Flair putting over the younger talent makes sense and would serve to silence some of Flair's detractors. However, here is a little bonus prediction. If Flair loses expect it to not be a clean loss. Perhaps some interference giving Tiffany the edge and in a dream scenario maybe a certain dentist who has been off TV for a long time with the other major company makes her WWE debut.

Gunther (c) vs Jey Uso for the WWE Heavyweight Championship
These odds are pretty decidedly determined. 'Main Event' Jey Uso has long been making his way to the top of the WWE Universe and it is evident anytime you see his entrance that the crowd absolutely loves him and has been down since day one. He has a long-standing rivalry with Gunther, but has never managed to beat the champ who has held the belt since August 2024. Bettors expect his ascension to the top to be complete at Wrestlemania 41 with Jey Uso being the favorite by -1000. That's right, a hearty one-thousand-dollar bet can net you a cool $100 profit. In contrast, a bet placed on Gunther receives +550 odds.
(Prediction) Stick with the odds here. Fans were amazed when Cena did not win the Rumble and instead was eliminated by Jey Uso. We all knew that the main event of Mania would feature John Cena so his Rumble win was all but guaranteed. Instead, he put over young talent one last time by letting Uso have his moment and moving on to the Chamber to secure his Wrestlemania match. Don't expect a Rumble win to be for naught as Jey Uso's long rise to the top will finally be complete at Wrestlemania. A Gunther win would certainly be a shocking story to tell, but there's not much to be gained from it in terms of the road ahead. Fans are ready for Uso to have gold around his waist and they all expected it already would be. If you want evidence of this just check out how they welcomed him in France in last year's post-Mania PPV, Backlash. Expect lots of Yeetin' in Vegas.
Iyo Sky (c) vs Bianca Belair vs Rhea Ripley

The odds for this one are still to come as this was only just turned into a confusing triple threat match. WWE suddenly surprised everyone when they took the belt off Rhea Ripley during what seemed like a random Monday Night RAW match vs Iyo Sky. They later clarified that this was done with the larger international audience in mind, which is another way of saying they wanted to draw in more Asian fans by having Iyo Sky win the belt again. Much like Pearl Harbor, this was a shocking move done by the Japanese as we all expected Rhea Ripley to still be carrying gold as she faced off against Bianca Belair fresh off an elimination chamber victory. To even further convolute the matter, the post-chamber scrum kicked off what looked like the path to Jade Cargill vs Bianca Belair which is an inevitable dream match all the fans are at least moderately excited to see. On the most recent Raw, Rhea ambushed Sky and Belair at the contract signing for Mania indicating that this match would now be a Triple Threat with no discernible direction. Hey WWE, Trump is President again so we no longer have to appease China. Just go ahead and put the belt on Belair and let's put this feud back onto a road that makes sense. Thank you.
(Prediction) This could go one of two ways. Iyo Sky could retain thanks to the no-disqualification nature of a Triple Threat, benefitting from Rhea and Bianca taking each other out with extreme prejudice to pick up the scraps for a victory. Alternatively, Bianca wins the belt and continues the story that was started at Elimination Chamber culminating in a feud with Cargill. Either way, expect this to be a high-quality match with a lot of great performers, and expect Ripley to walk away empty-handed and maybe take a much-deserved break from touring.
The bottom line (because Stone Cold said so) is that the world of WWE betting is complex and more unpredictable than you'd think. Even fairly predictable outcomes such as Jey Uso's win require a whole lot of skin in the game, and given that injuries, story swerves, and (until recently when he was forced out) Vince McMahon's dementia can suddenly change any outcome even mid-match, betting on this world is a frightening prospect. So keep it safe and keep it fun.
