Everything is Bigger in Texas including Gambling

For fourteen seasons, from 1978 to 1991, the world was captivated by the long-running hit television show, Dallas. In 2007, Dallas was included in Time magazine's list of "100 Best TV Shows of All-Time" as the show portrayed wealth, sex, intrigue, conflict, and power struggles where everyone believed all Texans had horses, wealth, sprawling properties, and big hair. (If you lived in the 1980's, Texas women did have big hair and certainly kept Aqua net Hairspray in business probably creating the huge hole in the ozone layer scientists always talked about. Yes, Texas has been known for its big burgers, big trucks, big houses, and big personalities. Everything is bigger in Texas including gambling despite it not being legalized.

When will Texas Legalize Gambling

"Everything is bigger in Texas" has been long used to describe the Lone Star State, and originated as a reference to the state's large size. Five of the largest cities in the country are in Texas, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. The State capitol building is the largest domed state capitol building in the country including being 14 feet taller than the US Capitol in Washington, DC. King Ranch, one of the most famous hunting ranches in the world is larger than the entire state of Rhode Island. And when you talk about "Friday Night Lights", you are discussing Texas high school football. In fact, some of the football stadiums in Texas are as large as Madison Square Garden. Yet, although Texans have an affinity for gambling and plenty of space to put up beautiful entertaining casinos; why doesn't Texas have onsite gambling casinos within its borders? Currently, Texans have to fly to Vegas, Atlantic City, or cross the Red River to gamble in Oklahoma. Others go down south to Louisiana and try their luck in Shreveport or Lake Charles as they float the river. Everything is bigger in Texas, including gambling, but if Texans want to gamble within their own State they have to find an online casino to try their luck!

Unfortunately, for Texans, Online Gambling is illegal in the state even though the state endorses and promotes the Texas Lotto, gambling on horse races and greyhounds! The hypocrisy is certainly bigger from Texas politicians who oppose legalizing gambling in Texas.

Follow the money, and you will find the answers (or crooks!) to why Texas has not legalized gambling both with traditional casinos and online casinos. Texans spend hundreds of millions a year in the casino, not counting online casinos like Sugar Shack. However, Safe Online Gaming suspects that the tribal casinos in Oklahoma and Louisiana are putting millions of campaign contributions into Texas Politicians' pockets to keep forcing gamblers to spend their money across the Texas border! We believe that the legislature's hand has been forced somewhat with the Wynn family buying the Dallas Mavericks and have a desire to bring a Vegas-style strip to the Dallas area. At the very least, online gambling should become legal sometime within the year 2025. However, everything is bigger in Texas including the love of gambling so whether gambling is legal or not; Texans will continue to play their favorite slot, table (Poker, Roulette, Craps, Blackjack), and sweepstakes games in an online casino!

There are thousands of sites to play, but it is important to do your research when choosing an online gaming site.
