Presidents Day Celebrations

Writer: Safe Online GamblingSafe Online Gambling

Today, Presidents' Day is celebrated on the third Monday of February, but contrary to popular belief, there is actually no Federal holiday called "Presidents Day." In fact, the holiday, according to Section 6103(a) of Title 5 of the United States Code designates this day as "Washington's Birthday." George Washington, who was born on February 22, was honored for being the first President of the United States, and when President Abraham Lincoln, (who was born on February 12th) admirably held the job as the most powerful man of the world; America decided to lump in both men and call the holiday Presidents Day. Of course, the federal government shuts down (not that any of us will notice) for the occasion, but many in the private sector are unable to partake in Presidents Day Celebration as we continue to punch a clock for a living. Fortunately, for those of you who love to make a wager or two, online casinos such as Sugar Shack, and Caliente Casino are available and ready to celebrate a JACKPOT worthy or a Presidential Medal!

Honoring Presidents Day with online gambling celebrations
Celebrating Presidents Day without Leaving the Home or Office

Today, you will not have to go to the neighbors house because the mail was mixed up, nor will you have to wait in an unorganized line at the DMV. Yet, for those of you who still have to work today, you can still enjoy some Presidents Day Celebrations by pulling the lever, rolling the dice, playing a card, or placing a bet on your favorite number. Slots, poker, roulette, craps, blackjack and other great and exciting sweepstakes games are available to you 24/7. The ones that are operated in the United States will protect your identity, have an English speaking live individual who will answer any questions, and payout quickly when you win!

Safe Online Gaming has uncovered research showing that George Washington did not approve of his troops to gamble while in uniform. Although he did enjoy gambling at the card tables. Warren Harding, Harry Truman, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower and Richard Nixon all loved a great game of poker, and were known to hold card games in the White House. Even Honest Abe indulged in penny-ante poker games while working as a riverboat pilot on the Mississippi, and of course our current President made a fortune on building some of the best Hotel and Casino Resorts in the world.

So even if you are not one of the fortunate ones who can sleep in today, you can have an excuse to tell your boss, as you honor these American leaders by finding your favorite online casino and enjoy some Presidents Day Celebrations! Just be sure to set your limits, do your research, and have fun!

Establishing and maintaining boundaries is an important life skill, and research suggests that responsible gambling practices, such as online gambling, might help people hone these abilities.  These abilities can help you in ways that are not directly related to gambling.
