Cowboys fans, NFL fans, haters, and the people who only show up for Thanksgiving football — gather ‘round.Because we need to talk about Dallas.

ree

The Cowboys have now beaten BOTH 2024 Super Bowl participants — the Chiefs and the Eagles — in a span of five days. They’ve won three straight, something they haven’t done since early 2023.And more shocking than all of that? They’re above .500 for the first time since Week 5 of last season.

Folks… is this the part of the movie where the “joke team” suddenly becomes the dangerous wildcard no one wants to play?

Let’s dig into it.

The Gauntlet: Eagles → Chiefs → Lions

Nearly every expert said the same thing two weeks ago:

“Yeah Dallas is cooked. They’ll be lucky to win ONE of these.”

And yet here they are — not lucky, not fluky, not stumbling backward into wins…but punching good teams in the mouth and making a legitimate playoff push.

If they beat Detroit next? You might hear the faint sound of Cowboys fans everywhere chanting:“We dem boys… again.”

The Defense: Actually Good. No, Really.

For the third straight week, the Cowboys defense held their opponent to 21 points or fewer. That’s consistency. That’s discipline. That’s… not something we usually associate with Dallas.

Micah Parsons is playing like he’s fueled exclusively by rage, protein powder, and Twitter slander.DaRon Bland is out here rewriting the cornerback record books. And the rest of the unit finally looks like the elite group they were promised to be back in September.

The result?Opponents are waking up on Monday feeling like they got hit by a Ford F-150 with a star logo on it.

The Offense: Big Plays, Big Points, Big Dak Energy

The Cowboys have now scored 30+ points at home for the fourth time this season. And the reason is simple:Dak Prescott has entered his villain arc.

Let’s talk about THAT quarterback duel with Patrick Mahomes. It wasn’t just good.It wasn’t just competitive. It was “anything you can do, I can do better” energy.

🔹 Mahomes:

Go-ahead TD on fourth down, vintage improvisation.Crowd goes nuts. The announcers start prepping the “Mahomes Magic” segment.

🔹 Dak:

“Oh that’s cute. Hold my brisket.”

Eight plays.Sixty-eight yards.Pocket movement like he was greased with butter.Flip-pass TD to Javonte Williams. Then on the two-point conversion?Spins, rolls left, lasers a pass to George Pickens like he’s auditioning for a Marvel role.

THAT Dak Prescott is a problem.THAT Dak Prescott gives Dallas a real chance.THAT Dak Prescott just threw for 300+ yards on Thanksgiving for the fourth time —tying Tony Romo and Matthew Stafford for the most in NFL history.

Not bad for a guy who started the game with an interception.

What Does It Mean?

It means we need to stop treating the Cowboys like the class clown and start treating them like the kid who suddenly starts studying and pulls straight A’s.

Are they perfect?Absolutely not.

Will they break your heart in January?

Possibly.(Okay, probably.)

But right now, in Week 12?Dallas is playing like a real contender, beating real teams, and doing real playoff damage.

So yes…It might finally be time to take the Dallas Cowboys seriously.God help us all.
