The American League, once known for their power hitting with the likes of Mark McGwire, Brady Anderson, and even as far back as Babe Ruth (All-Time Greatest in our opinion) and Mickey Mantle, have taken a page after the National League and started to play some small ball. The Boston Red Sox are an overwhelming favorite to win the AL East, but they still have to beat the Bronx Bombers to do anything significant. We won't even mention the Cleveland team until they reinstate "Chief Wahoo" and ask the Wild Thing himself to throw out the first pitch. Surprisingly, the Texas Rangers are being talked about winning the AL West, and since Safe Online Gaming is based out of Texas, we are setting ourselves up for another disappointing season. Rickey ran his way into the Hall of Fame, and Pete Rose should be enshrined. Yes, he bet on baseball. He lied about it, but how many guys have said 3.5 inches is 6? Pete Rose did not like the media and was an underdog his whole life. Yet what he accomplished in baseball will never happen again, and for that reason alone, he should have his final resting place in Cooperstown. One more opening day of baseball 2025 storyline is that Juan Soto signed a 15-year, $765 million contract after a career season with the boys known for their pinstripes. He will mass more wealth 99.99% of the people from the Dominican Republic. The only thing stopping him from turning this into a billion dollars over his lifetime is that he keeps his Visa in good standing otherwise Tom Hollman and his crew might just change the landscape of baseball by strategic deportations... (Yes, we went there). By the way, can you believe Babe Ruth made less than $1 million over his entire baseball career (yes, it is worth about $20 million in todays dollars but that's a fraction of what Soto will make) and almost three times as much as Derek Jeter was paid in his 20 year career?
