Gambling Laws in the United States

In celebration of the 4th of July, and a non-politically correct emphatic statement of how We The People beat the Crown to win our independence; Safe Online Gaming has dug up some crazy gambling laws in the United States. Now every apple-pie and baseball-loving American knows that everything is better in the US of A, but the one advantage that those Red Coats across the pond have over us is that since 2005, England has legalized gambling to any player who wishes to sign up online or walk into a casino can start wagering. The US is still a better country because we are winners (of the Revolutionary War in 1776 and Winning Real Money at the Casino!), but put down the fireworks for a quick second and read some of these gambling laws in the United States!

The US has some crazy gambling laws

In our country, we have gotten a few things right. We don't follow the metric system is one of the best, we don't add extra letters to our words like honor, and we drive on the right side of the road. In the United States, most gambling laws and casino games usually address whether you are allowed or not allowed to participate in gambling of a certain kind. Did you know there are only a few states where playing at an online casino for real money is legal? That's right. In many states like Texas, a cryptocurrency is used or the renaming of a type of game is perfectly acceptable. What is as silly as police in England only having a stick to stop criminals is that the outcome of gambling online in Texas is the same as gambling online in any other state in the union! You can win real money anytime or anywhere in a legitimate safe and secure online casino.

Some gambling laws in the United States are as ridiculous as the hats England's military wear on top of their head and as bizarre as the guards not being able to smile while any tourist can walk right past them to whatever they are supposedly guarding. Laws like making it illegal for women to gamble in Oklahoma if they are only wearing a towel or lingerie. Of course, nothing is mentioned about being nude, and if you are playing in an online casino like Sugar Shack; how can this law be enforced? (Might that be the reason the English Bobbies only have a club?)

In North Carolina, bingo is allowed as long as it doesn't last for more than five hours at a time. If London had this crazy law, Big Bend would be perfect to let us know how much longer we could play. What's even more bizarre is that the Tar Hill State says it is illegal to have more than two bingo tournaments in one week, and they cannot be held on consecutive days. Weekends are a no-go too!

Kentucky stole the stupid hat idea while at the horse races from our allies with a funny accent and the hillbillies decided England's dental care was adequate, but they also wanted their gamblers to have a chance to get their money back. The Loss Recovery Act allows any gambler who loses $5 or more while gambling to sue so that their money can be recovered. Not only do you have a chance at getting your losses back, but you can sue for up to three times the amount you lost. What’s more bizarre is if the player who lost does not sue the winner within six months, then anybody else can sue the winner on their behalf. It makes you wonder if the guy across the table is losing on purpose and gambling on potentially winning three times the losses back. This law was implemented to deter people from breaking the state’s gambling ban.

Restrictive Gambling Laws in the United States
Gambling Laws that Make you Say WTF

When it comes to online gambling laws in the United States, there are certain states that have not yet publicly stated that it is okay to gamble. Yet, with online gambling; gamblers can be anywhere in the world when deciding to try their luck at slots, table, or sweepstakes games. Heck, a player could be having tea and crumpets or a pint to wash down their fish and chips while playing Golden Dragon or Fire Kirin! In fact, only New Jersey, Colorado, Michigan, and Indiana have passed laws to say it is just dandy to gamble online. Every other state in the union has to be on the honour (yes, we know what we did there) system when they log in on their PC or Mobile Phone to place a bet and win real money in an online casino.

So even with all of the comical gambling laws in the United States, there are thousands of sites to play. It is important to do your research when choosing an online gaming site. Sites like https://www.sugarshack.games or https://www.fiestajackpot.games have all the thrills of being at a casino in a safe secure environment.  Players can have hours of fun and a chance to win real money.  Each of these casinos has an operator standing by assisting gamblers 24 hours 7 days a week.

For those operators who need a safe online site who need to purchase credits; visit sites like www.BuySkillCredits.com or www.InternationalGamingCredits.com.

In addition to having a great opportunity to win, you don't have to even get dressed when trying to achieve a Royal Flush (that's the last pun today). We hope all of you have a great 4th of July, and truly celebrate America's Independence and ability to be free from unjust laws. Wait a minute... (Paraphrasing a thoughtful line from the greatest 4th of July movie ever, the Patriot, "did we just trade one tyrant from across the pond for a bunch of tyrants who sit in Washington paid by the taxpayers?) As always, be responsible, and set your limits.

Establishing and maintaining boundaries is an important life skill, and research suggests that responsible gambling practices, such as online gambling, might help people hone these abilities.  These abilities can help you in ways that are not directly related to gambling.
